and FCA Adult Chapter flyer and membership form

Sunday, May 2nd is FCA Day and membership drive at the
Brookfield area churches. FCA students and members of the
FCA Adult chapter will be speaking at worship services at
Brookfield area churches on Sunday, May 2nd. We will be
signing up people to join our FCA Adult Chapter Booster Club.

FCA's History: The Fellowship of Christian Athlete was born more than four decades ago in the heart of Dan McClanen when he was a student at what is now Oklahoma State University. He envisioned athletes at all levels advancing the cause of Christ through a nationwide team ministry. His dream became reality in 1954 with the chartering of FCA in Norman, Oklahoma.

Huddles are the backbone of FCA's school-year program giving athletes a positive peer group to nurture Christian growth, and service, with Christ as the center of the meeting and using the Bible as the authority. Teammates are inspired to improve their spiritual lives and use their influence to challenge others to receive Christ. The Brookfield Middle School Huddle Coach is Rita Moore (FCA middle school huddles are for grades 6, 7 and 8). They meet at 7:30a.m. every other Wednesday in the basement gym. On the "other" Wednesday, "Youth Alive" will be meeting, led by Robie Thompson. The Brookfield High School Huddle Coach is Joel Manusan. They meet at 7:30 a.m. every Wednesday in his classroom.
Adult Chapters provide adult fellowship while giving FCA's huddles and staff stability through personal and financial resources. They are a "booster club" in the same sense as booster clubs for athletic teams. These Adult Chapters may be made up of coaches, teachers, school administrators, pastors, members of the business community, FCA alumni, parents, and others who serve the mission of FCA through the common bond of Jesus Christ. Local volunteers provide the most effective and efficient means of providing a consistent outreach ministry to the youth of their community. This makes FCA the most cost-effective youth ministry in America. If you would like to be a part of this exciting and worthwhile ministry, contact any of the following: Robin Tarpening, 258-3344; Robie Thompson, 660-591-3403; Rob King, 376-2640; Tim Huff, 258-3391; Linda Gilcrest, 258-3403; Jerry Johnson, 258-3576; Jamon Andreasen, 314-607-3873; or, attend a meeting of the Brookfield FCA Adult Chapter.
